About
Welcome to my corner of the web, and thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I’m a qualified clinical social worker with a profound passion for understanding people and healing the healing process, body, mind, and soul. At my core, I am a lifelong student, constantly seeking knowledge and experiences to enhance my understanding of the human condition.
My educational journey began with a strong foundation in social work and psychology, where I cultivated a deep appreciation for the complexities of the mind and the intricacies of human relationships. However, my thirst for knowledge and my commitment to helping others led me to further studies and qualifications in various areas.
I’ve expanded my professional repertoire to include certification as a Tension Release Exercise (TRE) provider, which allows me to aid individuals in managing and releasing physical and emotional tension. Additionally, I became a Voice of Child Practitioner, focusing on giving a voice to the often unheard perspectives of children. Furthermore, I delved into the world of family mediation, striving to create harmony and understanding within family units.
My most recent educational endeavor has taken me on an enthralling journey into Jungian Sandplay therapy. Here, I found myself falling in love with the deep philosophical and psychological insights of Jungian philosophy, which have added new dimensions to my approach to healing and understanding.
My career has been an eclectic mix of experiences, ranging from over 15 years dedicated to child protection, where I also had the honor of serving as a manager of a child protection organization for a decade. I’ve also ventured into mindfulness practices and have even worked within the confines of maximum-security prisons, providing support and guidance to those who needed it most. My horizons expanded even further as I took on overseas assignments in England and Thailand, gaining a broader perspective on the world’s varied social challenges and diverse cultures.
My Passion
Beyond my professional life, I have a passion for pottery. I consider myself a self-taught potter, though I humbly admit that I’m driven more by the sheer joy of playing with clay than by formal training.
My passion today revolves around seeing and listening to people, both young and old. I believe in the power of clay, and sand, and the profound insights of Jungian psychology to facilitate healing and understanding in the lives of those I have the privilege to work with. I am deeply committed to helping individuals on their journeys toward self-discovery and healing, and I’m excited to embark on these transformative experiences with anyone willing to take that step.
